This course provides a comprehensive guide for professional developers on how to configure, secure, and operate the Blue Prism® v7.x RESTful API. Through real-world scenarios and hands-on demonstrations, you’ll gain the skills to build scalable, API-driven automations by integrating third-party applications with Blue Prism and managing components such as work queues, environment variables, and sessions.

If you’re new to APIs or would like to refresh your understanding, we recommend reviewing Module 1 of the SS&C Blue Prism® Web API Services training.

Objectives:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Explain how the Blue Prism® RESTful API allows external systems to interact with the digital workforce.

• Identify prerequisites, authentication models, and access requirements for secure API use.

• Use API endpoints to view and add items in Blue Prism Work Queues.

• Programmatically retrieve and update Environment Variables.

• Start and manage automation sessions on runtime resources using the API.

• Confidently test and validate API requests using tools like Postman.

Prerequisites:

• Completed all modules in the Blue Prism Professional Developer Learning Plans
