This is an online training module which has been designed for learners who have recently completed Blue Prism Foundation training and working through the additional Blue Prism Developer training courses.

This training module provides useful information and helpful tips to Blue Prism Developers who are attempting to automate Java applications. It will also explain what a Java Access Bridge is and why it is important for successful Blue Prism Java integration.

There is a Java training exercise at the end of this module, which will provide an opportunity to interact with a Java application that mimics how an enterprise Java application might behave. The exercise helps to build experience of automating a Java application using Blue Prism, highlighting some tips and required techniques to successfully interface with the application in a robust fashion.

Objective

After completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Explain what a Java Access Bridge is and why it is important.
  • Use the best practice guidelines when running Java Applications which are being automated by Blue Prism.
  • State when you should use the Open Application Navigator in the Application Modeller.
  • Troubleshoot problems.
