Description:

The aim of this training is to familiarize users with the API functionality (introduced with Blue Prism Release 7.0). The Blue Prism Application Programming Interface (API) provides a common interface for components such as Blue Prism Hub to connect with the Blue Prism database.

It also provides a series of predefined Capabilities that can be used by custom solutions to interact with Blue Prism programmatically

Objectives:

By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Describe the capabilities of the API
• Complete the API set-up
• Summarize the API interface
• Extract Sessions and Session Log data
• Identify the Work Queue Capabilities offered with the API
• Identify the Schedule Capabilities offered with the API
• Obtain Resource data

Prerequisites:

To complete this module, you must have previously downloaded, installed, and configured the Blue Prism API from the Blue Prism portal. For further information on how to complete this, please refer to the Blue Prism 7.0 Help Files on the Blue Prism Portal.

To interact with the Blue Prism API you need to have:

A Service Account within Hub/Authentication Server with the appropriate API permissions.

That user must have been pushed into the Blue Prism using the message BUS integration between Authentication Server and Blue Prism.

Configure the available authorizations within the Swagger UI to interact with the Blue Prism API.
